Privacy Policy
The Yard Dog Park (“The Yard,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and membership platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and an optional profile photo when you create an account or sign in with Google.
Pet information: your dog's name, age, breed, gender, color, photo, veterinarian contact details, emergency contact details, and vaccination certificates (including expiry dates) that you upload.
Membership and payment information: your plan, subscription status, and renewal dates. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
Park activity: check-in and check-out records tied to your account and pets.
How We Use Your Information
To operate your membership: verifying vaccinations, managing check-ins at the gate, and handling billing and renewals.
To keep the park safe: confirming every dog on the premises has current vaccination records.
To communicate with you: service emails such as vaccination-expiry reminders, renewal notices, and account updates. You can control optional notifications in your Settings.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who We Share It With
Service providers that run our platform: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudinary (photo and certificate storage), and our email delivery provider. Each receives only what it needs to provide its service.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of guests, staff, or dogs at the park.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone, which removes your profile, pets, vaccination records, and check-in history.
Billing records may be retained by Stripe as required for accounting and legal compliance.
Cookies
We use cookies solely to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. Park guests must be 16 or older, and account holders must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify you by email or when you next sign in.
